About me43, happily married, living in Sheffield UK, a short walk from the beautiful Peak District. Enthusiasms are for football (armchair support for Oldham Athletic), electronic music, rock guitar, technology in all its wondrous forms, my fantastic family and, just now, weight training.

I teach English as a Foreign Language and train people who are interested in teaching English in the UK and abroad, which I love. I also design websites and am very interested in the use of the internet as an educational tool; I'd like to do more work in this area, so if you've got a project you'd like to collaborate on, let me know.

Of books, I mostly read about language teaching and web design and self-help stuff. Fiction is better for me, but I need recommendations!

About my libraryTiny, but still too big for our little house. Periodically we have a purge and a box of books goes to Oxfam (charity shop in the UK). Sometimes we really regret this later, mostly we don't. If I really like a book I send it to a friend. I rarely read fiction twice.
