About meI'm a math graduate student with wide ranging tastes in books. I'll try most anything once, and love the mind-candy with as much abandon as the deep and moving stuff. That said, I have a penchant for SF and Fantasy, a warm place in my heart for children's books, and a weakness for beautiful prose. And, of course, I'm a bit of a fangirl here and there.

About my libraryThese are all books I own, somehow or another. There's a couple of others I really thought I owned, but apparently don't, but otherwise this is complete, modulo a shelf I forgot about at my parents' house.

The tagging's a little spotty, as are the ratings [though they're getting better]... I'll fill it in as I'm moved.

I think most of my tags are self-evident, but unread&shelved are books that I haven't read but aren't really on my pile... either gifts gone wrong [grandparents can be strange], heavier things for a later time, some referency sorts of things, and things that I'd only ever read a bit of at a time. Nothing wrong with them, but having them on the To Be Read shelf makes me sort of anxious. ;^)

I started keeping a list of what I'd read in 2004; the date tags record reads since then [and so are not necessarily the first read of a given book]. They're also not everything I've read... library stuff and things like that don't show up here.
