I'm definitely obsessed with books. Doing this LibraryThing has shed light on my library... I have a lot of books, a lot I've never read, and I lot I don't agree with. I love to collect Catholic, Cult and Nonsensical 'Christian' literature (and the grouping of these works into my collecting doesn't mean I equate them all the same).

My collection is full of stuff I plan to get rid of. LibraryThing is going to help me do that. Recently, I was torn... My grandfather had given me a lamp he'd made, and since he passed away, it broke beyond repair. Rather than keep it (Packrat OCD Alert!) my wife suggested I take a picture of it. So I did, and then I threw it away.

I see the lamp occasionally on my screensaver. LibraryThing is going to do the same thing for me. No more shelves full of fluff. No more sentimental attachment to a book I don't plan on reading. Entered, Tagged, and Chucked. That's my new solution. "Take a picture of it."

I'm also the pastor of a Southern Baptist Church.
