About meI live in southeastern Michigan, have a husband and three grown children, and recently obtained a degree in library science (all online through University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee). I have always loved books, and have been a book club member since 1986. I am now working as a knowledge manager for the nonprofit my husband and I have started, Great Lakes Green Initiative.

About my libraryI actually have quite a small physical library compared to some. Many books I obtain from the library. Once a year, I go through the ones I purchase and take some to our condo in northern Michigan for renters to enjoy. The books I will list on this site reflect the books I have read over the years.

Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to learn a little more about the book before you commit:

Hi Peggy,
Christy here from lasagna gardening at MG College. I've just begun my own LibraryThing account, and added my two most recent books, plus the one I'm currently reading. I see many, many books in your list that I think I'd like, so don't think Stephen King and I are BFF, because we're not. :)
I see your recent posting on [My Life in France] by Julia Child. My husband just came back from a business trip in Canada and bought me that book. I am 100+ pages into it and love it. I love reading about the culture, besides reading about the food. If you know of other books like this please let me know.

We went to Petoskey Michigan one year on vacation and loved it. Are you anywhere near there? This year we are headed to Boothbay Harbor Maine. We love going near the water on our vacations.
