About meI'm here to simultaneously reduce and add to my TBR pile.

About my libraryThese are, for the most part, books I own but haven't read yet. I own many additional unread books, but I'd rather spend time reading books (or at least reading about reading books) than organizing my virtual library.

I see you have a copy of The Best of Gowanus: New Writing from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean, which I edited. Thanks for that. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did "discovering" and then publishing those writers, some of whom are now established authors (Anjana Basu, Viktor Car, Abbas Zaidi, to name a few).

I thought you might be interested to know that a second anthology was published two years ago: The Best of Gowanus II: More New Writing from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. If anything, it's better than the first, with a preface by Kenneth Ramchand, the renowned West Indian literary scholar. It's also a beautiful artifact, a hardcover with a gorgeous slip cover. You can see it at the Barnes & Noble page: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Bes...

Thank you for adding me to your interesting libraries. Although we only have 4 books in common, your have quite a few books that I might be interested in getting, especially those about women writers.
