My dear Burd

pleased to see your rating of the new Dawkins book. I read The God Delusion (and reviewed it here) but did not care for it.

The wife has not read the Wood book yet.

I personally enjoyed Middlemarch. It has one of the best drawn villains ever.

Dear Mr Burd

My wife, a woman known to you, was recently given James Wood's How Fiction Works. I see you have read it. Your evaluation would be welcome.

I remain your etc. etc.

I don't know Donald's Westlake's books. The tastes on this site are very interesting though: books that the whole world seems to be reading sometimes only have a small presence here.
Yes, you gave me the McWilliams book: I was living in Louisiana, and it's an early journal of exploration there. I think it came from Acres of Books. It was a good read.
Thanks, but apart from Murakami I don't know too much about asian fiction unless it has pictures in it! The Banana books in my library was a passing fling ...
