About me I'm a Background Investigations Specialist, possess a BS in Journalism (Print Media) and have done many things from selling cars to working as a screen printer. I love to read, and will read just about anything you put in front of me. I have a ravenous appetite for magazines, and enjoy collecting books as much as I do reading them. My other passions are cars, costuming, movies, my tiki bar and Jimmy Buffett's music. I've lately also become addicted to podcasts, with my primary focus being anything about Lost and anything Buddhist.
About my library Eclectic, but a lot of Florida mystery writers. I have an extensive Star Wars collection, being the Star Wars nerd that I am, and also enjoy books about words, wordplay, what makes things tick and famous quotations. I have a habit of picking up random books that appear interesting and adding them to the collection. Food, cooking and travel books also occupy significant parts of my collection, with many obscure vintage cookbooks and pamphlets occupying a shelf in my library. I have a decent number of random books on religion, but my largest representation would be related to Buddhism.

Saw your note on one of the boards about collecting things related to Florida and immediately thought of [A Flash of Green] by John D. Macdonald--I see you have some of his works . . . that one was made into a movie with Ed Harris and stuck in my mind. One of the reviewers on the Internet Movie Database site says it's more faithful to the book than some of McDonald's other filmed books . . .
Happy collecting!
