About meHello, I'm a single woman living in northern Colorado. I am an RN who works the night shift and my fellow employees call me "The Librarian" because I am a huge source for book lending on our unit. One fellow employee states, "You won't be happy until everyone is reading a good book and rescues a dog." Love dogs by the way, it's the eyes that get me. I also love the mountains/cold weather/the blues/sharing a good micro brew with friends. Would love to travel internationally more but Colorado is expensive and RNs don't have the greatest pay scale!

About my libraryI have a little bit of everything in my library. I have approx 200 books that I haven't read yet and unfortunately that doesn't stop me from buying more! I am a very moody reader and my tastes change frequently. Because I also have a history degree I enjoy many non-fiction books but don't like them to be too "dry" or read like a text-book. My fiction books vary greatly. I do not have many fantasy or sci-fi books. They are genres that have never rung my bell. I don't normally read crime novels either. They began to all sound alike to me when I read them a few years ago (although I do admit to listening to them when I am on the road for a long trip-they usually aren't too complicated but keep me awake with the action). I also tend to stay away from the Oprah book choices (too depressing). Many of my books may be what we would call "guy books"--military fiction and non-fiction. War presents an engaging backdrop for stories.
