About meI'm a 32 yr old stay at home mom of one 3 yr old son, a husband and a dog. I LOVE to read. I used to read a lot way back when I was in school and then stopped for a long time, just didn't have time to. Its hard to find time now with the little one but I manage to read a couple books a week probably. I also love cooking/baking - especially decorating those character cakes for birthdays etc., playing video games with my husband (Wii, GameCube, XBox, PS2, GBA - you name it we have it, lol ;) ), watching tv and movies, growing roses and of course playing with my son. I'm thrilled that he loves being read to, I'm hoping that it converts to a love of reading as he gets older. I seem to have inherited my love of books from my dear old dad (who introduced me to this site) so I'm trying to pass it on as well.
About my libraryI have mostly books in the paranormal genre. Witches, wizards, vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, fairies, etc. Mysteries, romances, thrillers, suspense. I tend to read one book by an author and then I have to go out and get pretty much anything else they've written, especially if it's in a series. I really don't like reading series out of order either (little obsessive thing I have, lol)

Oh - I just noticed that my first comment was cut off. I (meant to) put in a link pointing you to the discussion of the get-together - let me try that again. It's here.

The Green Dragon (Inn) is an LT group that's...a little odd. But the members do tend to be very active and helpful in Talk in general. To join a group, you go into the group page (where you clicked 'Post a new topic' to leave your message). Look up on the righthand side - at the top of the (pink, beige, brown - depending on your monitor) column on the right, there's a series of icons for Join this group, Watch this group, Recommend this group. If you click Join, the group will show up on your profile page; if you click Watch, it won't, but it will show up in the list on the right when you're in a group page. Some of the groups you can only Watch - New Features, Recommend Site Improvements, and Bug Collectors (all very useful groups!) among others.
Yyyeah...listing series in order in your catalog is a _pain_. There's the Common Knowledge:Series column, but since it's not sortable it's not very helpful. I put series info into my Comments field ('Miss Seeton, 1' or 'Valdemar:Vanyel, 1-3' sort of thing); others put it into the Summary field. The other way to do it is to look at the Common Knowledge series pages - choose a book that's in a series, go into the Main Page for that book and scroll down. Under the Common Knowledge header, the first item is Series (with order) - if it's filled in (as it is for Vampire, Interrupted), click on it and you will go to a page listing all the books in that series. If there's a green checkmark on the right of a book listing, you have that book; if not, you're missing that one (though omnibuses are a bit of a pain with that). And you can fill in series info for anything that's missing. Note that Common Knowledge is shared across the site - it's not just your data, it's everyone's - so be careful what you change. You may know all this (since I see you've added the CK:Series column to your view), but it doesn't hurt to review it.
Oh, one more thing - if you put stuff like TBR and 'Gift not really interested' into Tags instead of Comments, you can filter by them - click TBR on your tag page and see only those books with the TBR tag. Which leaves Comments clear for series stuff. That's the way I do it - but you may have a way that works best for you.
Ask any questions you like - it's fun to help.
