Did not use LT for a while, but just found your note of May 30th. I checked the actual book for you, and the author printed on the outside hardcover as well as on the dust jacket is Bradley Smith, although he's really the photographer, as the inside frontispiece page specifies him as (and does not mention an "author").
There's no mention of any Robert Kimmel Smith
