About meI'm not 28 anymore...for the good and bad that's worth. I have a full life with the usual ups and downs. I live in a stunningly beautiful area and relish my ride to work for the scenery I can enjoy. I'm trying to live a gentler life with time to breathe and savor.

About my libraryAs do most our libraries, mine reflects varied interests and different stages of my life - and my husband's life since his are listed as well. I love books, and was desperate to learn how to read. I feel blessed that I learned and grateful that I am able to keep and love so many books. It's not easy being green (though I try) but being a bookaholic is a no brainer.

The pic is of my hometown library - I got my first library card when I was 2 years old - almost 60 years ago.

"The joy of Being, which is the only true happiness, cannot come to you through any form, possession, achievement, person, or event--through anything that happens. That joy cannot come to you--ever. It emanates from the formless dimension within you, from consciousness itself and thus is one with who you are."

~ Eckhart Tolle
Thanks so much for being my Santa Thing secret santa!! I have received the books and can't wait to get some time to read them. Hope you had a wonderful holiday!

Hi! I just wanted to comment that I think we share a really interesting collection of books. I didn't think I'd ever share "Using Your Meter" and "Eight Cousins" with the same person. I also think it's interesting we only share 16 books out of all of ours combined.
Hi!
I hope Hamilton is a nice city, I've never been there. In fact, I've only been to Ontario once, Port Elgin to be exact. And I've only been to Montreal once - it was fantastic! It's true about having to be able to speak French though. My French is alright but definitely not fluent, I got by but certainly couldn't have gotten a job. You know, it really was serendipitous to have run into you in the online book world. As you can probably tell from my name, my parents immigrated from the States in the '60s. They came from Virginia and went straight to BC. Neat.
I hope you enjoy the BookMooch book by the way! It was a fun read, I especially like the piece by Ivan E. Coyote. Enjoy!
