About meI love to read just about anything I can put my hands on. I have learned from this that I despise romance books. Especially those cheap Harlequins!!! I'm a single mother of two and work in the gaming industry in Southern Mississippi.

About my libraryMy library catalogue is a list of books I have read over the course of my life so it grows constantly.

Noticed you liked She's Come Undone, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's downward spiral and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Sigh. At work bored bored bored. Hey I went to a used book sale at my local YMCA & bought about 6 books! I'm actually reading "Diary A Novel" by Chuck Palahniuk" the author of "Fight Club". Very quick reading. Short chapters. LOL. He managed to catch my attention & keep it! I also got a couple of picture books. Pics of the world. Pics of colonial Williamsburg in VA. Ummm....let's see ah...oh...darn can't remember the tittles of the others. No! Oh wait! Steinbeck's cross country drive w/his poodle! Oh and a "American Psycho". The paperbacks were $.50! The hardbacks $1.00! I also got a book about "Slaves in the Family". Another book w/a dog on the cover but about a woman who loses her dog suddenly. I"ll keep you posted.
You probably missed this, but we had your birthday party in the Green Dragon.

Stop by!
So, are you originally from Louisiana, or just currently living there? What part of Louisiana? Just curious. I'm in Biloxi, MS.

My family is from the north part of the state mostly. I went to high school near Alexandria and college in Monroe at what used to be Northeast Louisiana University (and is now Un of Louisiana at Monroe). Most of my relatives are near Ruston in the north central part of the state. Living in Maryland for 20 years now...

Thanks for dropping a line!
I tried reading that book again...I couldn't get into it...threw it away. Then I picked up "A Natural History of the Breast" by Yalom. I think I'll give that to a colleague. So I looked at my encyclopedia's for the dog & the elephant! I did E Mail some folks about that list so hopefully I get it soon. Thanks!
Oh thank you! Yes I just want to see the actual list of the 1001 books to read before we die. That Ane Rice book sounds intriguing...let me know what you think. Bin trying to read the bioagraphy of Virginia Wolfe. Ummm...oh did read "She's Come Undone". I love Wally Lamb.
Could you please tell me the names of these "1001" books to read before you die? I would love to know what they are. What are you reading right now? Anything good? Got any recommendations?

The books listed on my site here are books I have read over the course of my life. I like to keep a running list of everything I've ever read. I don't like to read the same book twice, but sometimes this mistakenly happens. I don't make a big deal over it tho, I just re-acquaint myself with the story. If you've read any of the books I've listed, let me know what you thought of the book and hopefully I can jog my memory and remember the story. LOL Happy reading.
