About meI am married. live in Tennessee, born and raised in California. Semi- retired. Enjoy books, reading, art, stock market, plays, music, cycling, hiking, collecting about everything. Also, enjoy drinking tea, dark beer and sampling single malts. I have been extremely fortunate in my life and look forward to see what awaits me.
About my libraryThis is actually our library, my wife and I. We have tried to contain it in one room. Now we are trying to contain it in one house. Mostly non fiction, however, there is about everything by Steinbeck and Vonnegut (mine) and Grisham (hers).

Thanks for letting me know I am part of an exclusive club. I don't remember if I read it so I'll dig it outand take a look see.

We have the book for 3 reasons- We were in Insurance for a number of years and so pick up anything on insurance. We also pick up books on any company in any industry, just for the quaintness in what is so often a puff piece. Finally, we bought it because we also have spent time on a farm and seek out these books as well. That said, we have yet to actually read it. Someday, soon, I hope. Our copy looks to have never been read.We bought the book off of ebay a couple of years back.
It is curious that we are the only ones to have the book. You would think it would have been given to all State Farm employees and policy holders.
So do we have any other books in common?

You and I are the only LT owners of Schriftgiesser's The Farmer From Merna about the founder of State Farm Insurance. I am curious as to how and why you got it. I read it because I lived in Bloomington, Illinois for 14 years and worked for Illinois Wesleyan University.
