About meRay Murphy graduated from Georgetown University and has worked on daily newspapers in Portland OR, Everett WA and Long Beach CA. But through most of his checkered career, in a blur of Western Cities, he's been doomed to sell: bonds, advertising on the back of grocery receipts, lease-purchase agreements, magazine advertising, magazine subscriptions, and that most dreaded gig in the whole racket, math books to nuns. TriQuarterly and Poet Lore have published his poetry. His novels, SIEGE OF GRESHAM (AK Press) and EMPIRE & VICTORY (self-published) are available on Amazon. The latter is now also available on Kindle, under the IPTI imprint.
