I absolutely loved Angie Sage's Magyk. It's been about a year since I read it, but I think that her writing style is incredibly good. I recommended it to any of my students in my classes while I was reading it, even some of my college friends.

I'm a big fan of Sirius, and the fifth book had the most of him in it...despite the circumstances. Also, it's the only book to ever make me cry, so I have an emotional connection with it.

We don't have it at the library, I think I'd probably have to order it off of Amazon.

I felt the same way about The Devil's Arithmetic, but I've never seen the movie.
