About meMyself and my wife are Roman Catholics and have been married just over 50 years. We have a family of 16 children, most of whom are now married and have children of their own. We live in the village of Onga Onga in Central Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
About my libraryWe have a Christian Library in our home which people may borrow from. It has about 3000 books in it. We love reading Maria Valtorta's books and True Life in God.
Up till five years ago, I had a Family History writing and publishing business which produced 139 histories. I have listed them all on my Catalogue.

Good to meet you! Our library is not officially open yet. I am still entering books. I started the library because I ran out of space in my home for my Christian books, so I thought that if I started a library at my parish, I would always be able to get to the books if I wanted to.
The majority of the books in the library are from book sales. A few have been donated, and very few are brand new.
We also will be lending books on the honor system. We did order pockets and cards for each book. I have entered them all into Librarything, and we have printed labels with author and name of book, for each book. Parishioners will be able to see what books are available by going to Librarything, and then can go to the library, chose a book, leave the card from the book in a box, and take the book home. Occasionally we will check to make sure that they have not kept the book for to long, we are suggesting 2 weeks.
We have both Christian and Catholic books, but do not have enough room to add books with subjects other than religion. We also will have a selection of music CDs, and other Christian ministry Cds.
I have not yet figured how I will be entering these into Librarything.
Thanks for stopping by our 'virtual library'!
