About meI keep a log of the books I've read on my blog. I also own and maintain Canadian Books & Authors.

About my libraryThe Canadian books are mine. The sci-fi and fantasy are my husband's. When they overlap, I claim them because, in my house, Canadian trumps everything.

Hi,

I am a librarian and the host of Toronto Public Library’s online book club Book Buzz and a fellow LibraryThing member.

I noticed that you include Ten Good Seconds of Silence in your library and I just wanted to let you know that Elizabeth Ruth will be our guest for an online chat on April 26, 7-8 pm.

If you are interested, visit us at http://bookbuzz.torontopubliclibrary.ca .

Thank-you for your time,
Margaret

We Learned it All in Kindergarten

(adapted from the book by Robert Fulgum)

Share everything.
Play fair.
Don't hit people.
Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess.
Don't take things that aren't yours.
Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Live a balanced life.
Learn some and think some, and draw and sing and dance
and play and work every day some.
Take a nap in the afternoon.
When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold
hands and stick together.
Be aware of wonder.

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere.
The golden rule and love and basic sanitation.
Ecology and politics and sane living.
