Sorry for the massive delay in replying - I have only just seen that I had a new 'comment'!

I am indeed the ex-ABC sports broadcaster.

I am no longer a sports broadcaster - well, not full time anyway - but I still avidly collect sporting books and others.

Just make sure my wife doesn't find out!!

I don't know if you keep track of books on LT which you are the only person to have catalogued, but this afternoon I found a copy of Mark Ray's 'Cricket: The game behind the game." and so now there are two of us who own it!
