I got my first May Sarton book, probably 30 years ago. I'm 63 now and still love her and her books. My first was "The Fur Person". What a wonderful book. And "Mrs. Stevens Hears The Mermaids Singing" was as well written. I love her writing and her titles were always so interesting, you just had to read the book.

I read Lynley Hood's diary "Who is Sylvia" quite a few years ago now and can't remember what it was like - I wouldn't say it was very memorable or essential reading therefore.
