If you go to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Portrait_of_Edith_Sitwell.jpg you will see that under the copyright information it says:
"This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired.
"This applies to the United States, Australia, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years."
From my reading of the picture guidelines, images which are in the public domain are okay. If I am mistaken on this and public domain images are *not* okay, then I (or somebody else) should delete it.

and many thanks for adding me to your Interesting Libraries section.I hope that you enjoy looking through my library. It has taken many years to collect and has been a true labour of love I assure you.I see that although we share only 56 books,there are some quite interesting connections there.
