About meI'm a librarian. In my spare time I take dance lessons, spin & knit. I'm less boring than I look on paper.

About my libraryBooks listed here all all books that I own. When I finish reading a book, I give it a star rating-unstarred books are the "to be read" pile.

I've kept most of my college and grad school books, and marked them as such. I've kept a lot of childhood favorites, too.

My main interests are speculative fiction and feminist thealogy, basically things that challenge current beliefs and require the reader to be open to other ways of seeing, being, and doing.

Since shelf space is at a premium, so I only keep books that are useful, important, or that I love. Books tagged "xlibris" are ones that I no longer own.

4/08: I just did a massive purge of books before moving. I never thought I could give away so many books, but I did.

beautiful rose, i'm sure you don't mind that i stole it. it reminds me of one we grew for a few years, before the shade tree grew too large. I've moved the rose and am ever hopeful for next year . . .
