Hi rphalliburton:

Unfortunately my first mooth attempt has been a dud. I never heard back after acceptance in October, so cancelled the mooch this morning. There's another copy of just The Merry Month of May from another bookmoocher. I've asked THEM to reserve it for me. If they do, I'll ask for your address so they can send it directly to you.

Sorry it's taking so long. I do hope that this new mooch will be successful.

I'll keep you posted.

I love it. I've given over 200 books and gotten over 200 books. I average about $2.70 per book on postage plus packaging - after a while I had envelopes I'd received books in to use again. I also wrap books in plastic food store bags then wrap them in brown bag food store bags. I have bought lots of clear box tape though.

Hi again:

I just received an e-mail that "joracaky" on BookMooch has accepted my mooch. It just depends on how quickly she can package and mail it and how long it takes to get to me. I'm usually pretty lucky with media mail (having said that, I'll probably get jinxed). Once I get it, I'll leave another comment and you can send me a private comment with your address.

Hello,

I'm author K.L. Brady and I was just following up to ensure you got your review copy of The Bum Magnet okay. I know we get busy in our lives, but if you happen to get a chance to read it and find it enjoyable, please leave a review and spread the word.

Happy Reading!
Hi again!

Thanks for the comments. First of all, if I can get the book for you I will. Bookmooch is a lot of fun. I'm perfectly happy to mooch it for you and give it to you. I was recently looking for a book for a friend and an LT friend found one on PaperBackSwap. She arranged for it to be sent to me. She said to just consider it an early or late birthday present. So if I can get this book for you, consider it an early/late birthday present! Maybe some day you can pass on the favor.

I had asked the owner of Merry Month to reserve it for me until I heard back from you but I haven't. So I just mooched the book and will wait to hear if they accept my mooch. I'll keep you posted.

All my paperbacks are double stacked and I have two shelves of hardcovers double stacked too. I have gotten to the point of culling books periodically just to gain the room, but I'm getting down to the "cherce" stuff and am having to find room instead. I use a system of location tags for my books, so can find any book I want easily, but still.... I'd love for them to be all out so I could see them all.

As regards the Nora Roberts - I've never read any of her books. I do love romance and mystery particularly, but just have never gotten interested in her. Go figure. You can either hold on to them for a VERY rainy day or donate them to your local thrift store or Habitat for Humanity perhaps. You can get a tax receipt.

Take care and I'll be in touch.

Hi rphalliburton:

I saw your request on ForeignCircus' thread about looking for books for people at a sale she's going to.

You want a book called The Merry Month of May. You list the author as Mary White.

I checked Amazon, Abebooks, and Bookmooch, and there's a book called The Merry Month of May with two other novels by James Jones, published in 1952.

If that's the one, I'd be happy to bookmooch it for you - I know how important some books are. There's a 1952 hardcover copy in Texas. I've asked the person to reserve it for me for a couple of days just in case it's what you want.

Let me know -
Karen
