About meI am a professional teacher and performer of Egyptian dance based in the North East of England. I am also a part-time undergrad student at Durham doing Combined Honours in Social Sciences. Mostly Middle East options but from various departments such as Anthropology as well as the Institute for Middle East studies and Medieval History and Geography options. I love to read of course, and I'd like to write at least one novel in my lifetime. This photo was taken on my visit to Ephesus in Turkey in 1998, I'm stood outside the library [of course:)]
About my libraryEclectic to say the least. I like books with various timelines such as the Historian and Labyrinth as well as historical novels such as those by Cynthia Harrod Eagles, but not bodice rippers or aga sagas. Of course the obvious contents of my library are my books on the Middle East including those on Raqs Sharqi [the correct term for bellydancing]

I came here via "Women and Media in the Middle East"...your studies sound very interesting, could you provide a link to the program?
Thanks,
Élena :)
