About me I've worked in libraries and book stores since I was 15. For six years, I worked at Halfway Down the Stairs, an award-winning independent children's bookshop in the Detroit area, where I was responsible for writing reviews for our newsletter and for ordering half of the frontlist titles. My own children's novel, Miss Spitfire, was published by Atheneum in July of 2007. (And yes, it's in my catalog, because I'm a little vain that way.)

If you really want to know more about me, look through my catalog. I only buy about 20% of the books I read (and I've read all but 2 dozen or so of the books I own) so my shelves will tell you far more about me than this little blurb. Simply put, if a book is on my shelf, it means something to me.

Hi there

Have you been working on any other books? If so, let me know because I want to get all of them. My Bookclub is reading, "not fade away" right now by Peter Barton. We are getting together on the 14th of July at my house. If you want to come email me and I will give you directions.
hi There

I am part of book club from my church. We read your book, "Miss SPitfire." We all loved it!
You even signed it for me. I hope that all is well with you.
No, no, not really. Just because I have the book, doesn't mean I've read it.
I'm a compulsive collector, I collect faster than I can read them. I bet you at least 50% of my books have yet to be read. Where as your book collection doesn't always include what you've read. :D
Glad I could help, and I hope you'll enjoy Pam's book as much as I did!
The first printing of Laura Ingalls Wilder: A Writer's Life were recalled because a typographical error in Wilder's birthdate slipped through the proofreading process, horrifying both author and publisher. Corrected versions should be out soon. I'll pass your comment on to Pam Hill, who should be able to give you more specific information about when.
Hi Sarah, I have had you on my private watch list for some time, but it wasn't until I just now finished your book and entered it in LT that I realized you'd written Miss Spitfire. I loved the book and I will definitely be booktalking it to kids this year at my library! Thanks for writing a unique, interesting, and completely engrossing book!
