About meI'm a polytheistic animistic Pagan and also a Witch who practices an ecstatic non-religious form of Witchcraft. I also rescue dogs, work as a bookkeeper in a small bicycle shop, and live in the city now.

About my libraryThis is my recommended reading list for apprentice Witches. I also have a pretty long list of recommended Websites that can be found at my LJ http://www.livejournal.com/users/sarahsw... in an entry dated May 8, 2006.

Hi, I had a question and was hoping you could help. I'm trying to figure out which book would best suit me right now. I'm looking for one that focuses primarily on the "Magick" uses of herbs...and one that lists many and has lots of information. I've come down to two books. Compendium of Herbal Magick by Paul Paul Beyerl and The Master Book of Herbalism by him as well. I see you have both, so I was curious which you would suggest, given the specifics I'm looking for.

Thank you!
Joe.
Hey, you're one of the libraries that's highest in "Members with my books," and I see that you're in Duluth. Oddly enough, I'm in Fargo. Of all the libraries in the country -- nay, the world -- we're practically neighbors.
Hey Swampwitch--this is to let you know of the poetry reading on Dec. 13 at 2pm at the Snoodle Ceramics Gallery, 7107 Grand Ave in Duluth. Admission and snacks are free, and ceramic art will be on sale. Call 310-8903 for more.
Sarah,
I met you once at the Witches Ball. It was several years ago, but it's nice to recognize a name here and there!
Blessed Be,
Lily
MM, Sarah--

I'm new here and thrilled to see there are so many Witches who are members of this site. Looks like we also have a bunch of Witchy books in our libraries. I have some nonfiction (I love to collect spellbooks). But most of my books are fiction (dark urban fantasy novels), which is probably because I write a series of Occult novels for women, so I am always reading Witchy novels for fun.

Great to see you are in rescue work too. I have been involved in feral cat rescue for 30+ years. At the moment I have a new mom and her 4 adorable kittens living in a big dog taxi in my garage. They were my Mother's day surprise this year! (lol) She showed up in my feral colony abandoned and already pregant. As soon as the kittens are old enough I will have her fixed and then have homes lined up for her and the kits.

Great to meet you and BB,
Laura
