About meThe Books I Like:
* Fantasy novels.
* Classic literature, especially women writers from the 19th century.
* Manga, both shounen and shoujo.
* Asian literature, especially from Japan's Heian period.
* Strategy treatises, especially by Chinese philosophers.
* Self-study books about language.
* And everything else. I don't like football but if you gave me a book about it I'd read it.
See what I'm reading now.
If you'd like to recommend a book to me to read, or say "Hey, that book should be at the top of your reading list, not the bottom", I'd love to hear it! Drop a comment, I am always looking for more books to read.
About my libraryWhat I Catalog:
* Books I own (@own).
* Books I want to get rid of (~get rid of), and books I may get rid of (~may get rid of).
* Books I have read but do not own (@read ++@do not own).
* Books I would like to read (@reading list).
* Books I would like to own (@wishlist).
* Books I want to remember so I can recommend them to a friend (@recs for hikage).
My books are tagged so they'll be sorted by genre, sub-genre, and series, since that's how my books are organized on my shelves. I'm not quite done figuring out the subgenres, though...

Ms. Marillier is an outstanding author in her ability to paint the characters so clearly. I felt as though I would recognize Sorcha, her brothers or any of the main characters if I came upon them in a public place. I read at least two books a week in every genre except horror murder mysteries and these three remain favorites.

Would that include Robert Heinlein's Starman Jones, about a farm boy destined to become a starship captain, or isn't that magical enough?

Tagging books is hard. I can't even remember what happens in half of those books.
