Hello! I'm happy to see another Mary Stolz fan too - my mother read me A Dog on Barkham Street when I was about seven or eight, and then I read Ready or Not on my own when I was in my early teens - and then I read every one of her books the library had. I was struck by her ability to effectively portray a range of age and experience - a lot of the other 'teen' novels I read focused on the emotions and experiences of the teenage protagonists, and Mary Stolz manages to impart so much dignity to all ages and to understand them all. I was a fan from then on. I rarely meet anyone else who's heard of her, so it was great to hear from you!
