About my libraryi'm pretty eclectic in my reading tastes, but these days i take a lot out of the library. my books tend toward children's and fantasy. books tagged antique are editions from the 40's and earlier; books tagged my childhood, are books i grew up on. cataloging i found a lot of things i forgot i have and want to reread. mmm, fun rereading. I would like to invite you to read my new fantasy novel, "Gateway to DreamWorld." It has received rave reviews and has a shot at becoming a movie.

I know Cecile Salway who illustrated Children on the Map. Do you have a copy or know where I may get one?
Thanks,

For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
~ T.S. Eliot ~

I am interested in creating dolls from different materials, wool, yarn, felt, etc. I got the idea from some craft magazines I had read. An artist or two created dolls from various mediums, and I was intrigued by the concept. I have seen some imaginative creatures made from felt with minute detail and some larger dolls that were more human looking but still fantastical. I would rather create something that is not so human but a bit other-worldly. I hope that answers your question. It's the kind of thing that I hope will manifest itself as I begin using the materials-I will start with felt and embroidery thread and probably fabric paint or markers. Good luck to me, right? Mary Beth Oh, and thanks for answering my questions.

What kind of creative eneavors do you have deadlines for? Do you mean for work? I work from home in the office for our construction company but I also am trying to write and get some short stories submitted. In addition, I really hope to get some dolls created from various materials, felt, wool, yarn, etc. or whatever comes to mind. I'm also interested in drawing but not sure I am any good at that. For some reason, I think it's something to do with my age, I have the need to be creative, to create with my hands and mind. I think I feel more free, more inspired, because I am free of some of the demands of having young children. My youngest is 15. I'm just getting used to having me to myself. I'm trying to get in some writing practice on reviews also. What do you do for work and/or hobbies, if you don't mind my asking? PS. I wouldn't have guessed Peggy Guggenheim! Mary Beth
