Jack McDevitt is awesome. His latest, FIREBIRD, actually outdid his Nebula winner SEEKER in my humble opinion! :)
Have you had a chance to read the new Iain Banks book, [Transition]? I saw that you recently added it. It looks a little "lighter" than the Culture series. I am just finishing [The City and the City], by China Meveille. It is very good.
Just passing by - enjoyed your review of redheaded stepchild, I'll look out for that.

As we seem to share some similar tastes, at least in fantasy, I'll recommend you look out for Janny Wurts' works, also an LTauthor. Curse of the Mistwraith is the start of her big series, but she's done some standalones too. I'll be interested to know how you get on with CJ CHerryh when you get around to reading/rating them.
found my way here through your blog, looking forward to exploring your library.
Hi scifichick! I read your blog and really enjoy it. Thanks for doing such a nice job. Now I've found you on LibraryThing. How cool!
