About meBasic:
I serve Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, Connecticut, as Interim University Librarian and Director of the Ryan-Matura Library.
I wear a number of hats, including professional librarian (M.S. Columbia University), Ph.D. in Church History (Princeton Theological Seminary), church musician (CAGO), and of course parent (on-line certificate from the School for Nonprofessional Parents). Too soon middle-aged, not enough exercise, and never enough time to read.
I'm also involved in project regarding the development of liturgical allegory in the early work of Amalarius of Metz (a continuation of my dissertation work), digital mark-up and presentation of 36 papyri in Trexler Library, Muhlenberg College (where I worked 2001-2006), and reading Karl Barth.
My blog: http://scriptorincertus.typepad.com/as_a...
Interests:
History (especially History of Christianity), Librarianship, Information Technology, Church Music, Greek and Latin literatures, History of Art, Medieval Northern Europe; Baseball; Rowing; Mediterranean cuisines; (all not in any particular order)
About my libraryMy list of books is not representative, because, since I have worked in libraries for a long time, I sometimes don't buy expensive items but instead I have the library purchase them.
