About meI’m the author of Going Nowhere Faster (Little, Brown ’06), Fade To Blue (Aug. ’09) and You Killed Wesley Payne (fall 2010). My stories and articles have appeared in numerous publications including Glimmer Train, The Onion, Bat City Review, Narrative Magazine, Opium, Another Chicago Magazine, The New Orleans Review, and The San Francisco Chronicle.

About my libraryMan. It's mostly in boxes due to a recent move. I'll read pretty much anything. I used to be sort of judgmental about what I thought good literature was, and then I tried to write a novel myself. At this point, I'm on the side of anyone who actually finishes a book. I may not want to read it, but I respect it. My favorite authors are Graham Greene, Stephen Wright, Dashiell Hammett, Saul Bellow, Joseph Conrad, Don Delillo, Deborah Eisenberg, Elmore Leonard, Evelyn Waugh, H.L. Mencken, Nabakov, Jim Shepard, James Salter, Alice Munroe, Dostoevsky, Iceberg Slim, Jim Thompson, and Robert Musil. I think. If you asked me tomorrow, that list would change.
