About meI'm a qualified Library Technician who has mostly worked as a Library Assistant. I love reading and collecting books. They are piled up around my home. I was brought up with both parents being avid readers and going to the library was a special outing for us as children. My other interests are op shopping (where I find many of my books), cross stitch embroidery and patchwork and quilting.

About my libraryI add books to my library as I read them so those shown are only a portion of what I own. Also I use LibraryThing to keep a track of what I'm reading so some of the books I post are actually library books and not part of my personal collection.
Once I've read a book (unless its special) I donate it to a secondhand superstore to make room for more in my home.

I meant to leave a longer message, but had to stop and get ready for work. I'm a quilter also. I really don't do any appliques except I've tried machine applique once or twice. I machine piece and quilt because almost all the quilts I do are what I would consider utility quilts. All my nieces and nephews are now having children of their own so a lot of baby quilts (I need 2 for Dec). And I do 12 table runners for each bride in the family and a few friend's daughters (one for each month). As I expect them to be used and washed, I can't see hand quilting. We have a friend who lost a daughter last year and I'm trying to work up my courage to try printing pictures on fabric so I can make them a memory quilt. Also, the hubby and I are thinking about moving and downsizing, so I need to go through all my quilting magazines and books and decide what to keep and what to get rid of.

I just got the first Karin Slaughter book in the series, but I probably won't read it until at least next year.
Thanks for finding my library "interesting". It's at least somewhat electic. Now ifI could just get stuff read.
