About my library I'm in the course of entering it. It started with Alison Uttley. Later Saroyan and another member of the Armenian diaspora, Arto de Haroutunian. Then Jack Trevor Story and Thomas Love Peacock. More recently I gave up the snobbery of avoiding books in translation and delighted in the spells woven by WG Sebald - but he is English by adoption anyway. Otherwise it meanders through tea, chanson, vegetable allotments, Makine, garden planning, Howard Jacobson and more
