About meA constant refrain during my childhood was "put down that book!" but I was a recalcitrant little beast. The public library was my home away from home-- I would make biweekly trips via bike with my best friend, each of us filling two tote bags at a time. Now I have my own mini-library. Shotgun shacks being what they are, I haven't yet managed to build that magical place where I whip around the room on a rolling ladder past endless well-organized stacks, (perhaps humming blissfully while my adoring boyfriend waits below for the glide-by panty shot) but you never know, maybe someday.

About my libraryI'm slowly bringing my collection out of storage, but every time I think I've bought the last bookshelf, I realize it's not going to be quite enough. But hey, there are two kind of book lovers: those who willingly put in new structural supports under their floors, and those who purge. That day of reckoning hasn't come yet for me, but who knows . . .
