About me I am hopeful that users of Library Thing will please consider making a donation to help restore the New Orleans Public Library. The best thing to do is to send the money NOT books - but if you do want to send them books apparently they need material published since 2005 the most. http://nutrias.org/

About my library This library barely includes any books that were bought before I turned 20 because they are all at my parent's house. I haven't lived at home in over a decade. On the other hand, it includes lots of books I've taken out of the library or borrowed from friends. My library is in a constant state of flux - due to the fact that I work in a used book store. This means I have a tendency not to hoard things as much at the moment; I tend to trade stuff in a lot. So I'm using it to track what I've read AND what I own. I never use the "read" tag on cookbooks and on similar items.

Lovers and loathers of Dan Brown and his on-off relationship with the English language are directed to http://chasmsoftheearth.blogspot.com/ You know it makes sense. Well, more sense than the book.
Re Knitting Architect- an EXCELLENT reference book. He teaches you to chart your work - if you like to design/alter your knitting, he's invaluable. Not cute - it's a hands on, down-to-business guide for making knitting that matches the idea you started with. It's fun!
Hiya. Excellent reading tastes. Should be interesting to see what else we've mutually read as I get around to adding more books. I worked at a Borders for 6 months (yeah, I know, evil chain). Lots of free books was a nice perk...
