About my libraryIt's split between bookshelves and boxes in the basement. Actually plastic waterproof containers. I had a bad experience with water damage once before. My library has a lot of military history and SF in it, but there is lots of other stuff mixed in.
If a book has a rating I've read it but don't necessarily still have a copy. If it has not been rated that means I own it and haven’t read it. That category is embarrassingly high; it seems I get books much faster then I can read them

The General Wilkinson bio. A curious figure who I have read about in other works of history. It will fit in nicely with recent works of history and biography covering that period of American history.

Btw, I would love to link to your review when you're done with it if that's alright with you.

As to "Artist" I'm afraid gardening took over the weekend and I haven't gotten back to him. Maybe tomorrow? I hope so.

So I take back what I said before, and now will proceed and see what the whole is like. Join me. Then we'll go back into Half Moon together :]

Have you started "Artist in Treason"? I put off "Half Moon" for some fiction and have picked up Artist as a companion book.
Anyway, my question is 'am I just stupid, or did the book take off too quickly? I'm over at Wikipedia as I write this, reading up on the background for Burr and Wilkinson since I really remember nothing about this time period.
I'm planning on mentioning the need for preface in my review, but might tone it down if you don't find it problematic. American history, afterall, isn't, or at least wasn't, my thing.
btw, you'll be happy to know there's footnotes with this one. They aren't numbered yet, but they're there :]
Regards!

I left a chatty note about the Hudson book over on American History but thought I'd pop by to see what you were up to and whether you had also gotten the "Artist in Treason" book by Linklater?

It's very nice to have another Civil War enthusiast checking in--I sometimes feel really guilty carrying on the way I do.
I see you have about double the number of books on the Civil War that I do. I am going to take the time to browse through your books and see what you think of them. I'm getting more all the time, but have nowhere near the library you do.

I am doing a post about what's on my nightstand and have linked to your review on Joker One (on your blog). Is this okay? If not, let me know and I'll unlink it.
Will go to press tomorrow.

You're now on my GoogleReader.
Btw, if you sign up yourself on GoogleReader you can check, after awhile, and see how many people have signed up for your blog. It won't tell you about all your readers since it can't snag data on people that read you thru other means, but it gives you an idea.
You do it by pulling up a post and clicking on the "detail" button on the right side.
