About meI'm a junior majoring in philosophy at Kansas State University, but as my library indicates, I'm very much a hard-science geek on the side. When not reading books or playing my dastardly video games, you'll find me browsing the comments at Shacknews.com under this same name or *gasp* doing school-work.

About my libraryMy library's expanding in spurts and gurgles as I discover new authors. I spent most of my middle and early-high-school years reading crappy Sci-fi (as in most Star Trek and non-Zahn Star Wars books) and am still trying to dig myself out of that hole. Other significant reading sources not covered here are my subscriptions to the magazines Wired and Newsweek, as well as a steady diet of blogs and online news. Listening habits include everything from electronica to post-rock, with NPR's All Things Considered a staple of my afternoons. Television watched and enjoyed on DVD includes Battlestar Galactica, Arrested Development, and Sorkin-era West Wing.

Noticed you liked Clockwork Orange, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a group of violent kids (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:
