TagsInteresting (2), Well-written (2), Well-written story about an Irish family in Brooklyn from WWII through modern. Interesting sister and brother (priest who resigned from order) Jumped around time periods so was somewhat disjointed. (1), Quick read and interesting story about an unwed mother fighting to keep her baby that took an interesting twist but just not that engaging. (1), Fascinating story about slavery in early 1800's. Friendship between upper class white girl Sarah Grimke who later became a well-known abolitionist and suffragette and her slave Hetty as well as many other great characters. (1), Good read about a photographer who leaves urban life and finds a new personal and professional lease on life. (1), Very well-written - 4 stories over the years focused on the history of the diamond as the "required" engagement gift. Each of the stories were engaging but very hard to tell how they interrelated until the very end and still not sure of all the relationsh (1), quirky story. (1), Great Grisham story. A good read with real life characters and lots of plot twists. When Seth Hubbard leaves his estate to his house cleaner Lettie what unfolds is the story of Seth trying to right a wrong done to Lettie's family many years ago. (1), intricate story of friends from summer camp and how their lives developed. Very deep characterizations but seemed to be somewhat self-obsessed. One couple was very successful and hard for others to relate to. You can't resurrect the past (1) — see all tags
