About meI was born in Warsaw, Poland, but I grew up in Rome, Italy. When I was 16, I moved to Wales to attend The United World College of the Atlantic, an international IB school, where my interest in other countries and their cultures deepened, and where I became very passionate about natural sciences.
I graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a major in biology this spring and I am currently attending medical school at Jefferson Medical College.
I like pretty much anything, from classics to books about different countries and cultures to non fiction.. I usually go through phases, I get obsessed w an author or a subject and read all about it until I feel like moving on to another one!
I have many books that I haven't read yet but I long to read, and since librarything, that list has become even longer, as I keep finding interesting suggestions for future readings.
About my libraryMy library is quite scattered out and about, some books are with me, some are in Rome or Poland. In the past year I discovered bookmooch, and fell in love with it, I exchanged several books with people all over the place, and I would highly recommend it!
My favourite places to buy books are used bookstores, there are a few good ones in Philadelphia, such as the Last Word Bookshop and Molly's Bookstore, both of which feature awesome cats :)
Joseph Fox is another great independent bookstore I like (new books)

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thank you for your message about "A Thousand Veils." I have not read anything by Ghada Samman, but the books you mentioned by her sound very interesting.
