L'auteur le plus connu de Guyane est Serge Patient avec [Le nègre du gouverneur].
J'aime beaucoup André Paradis, qui est publié chez Ibis Rouge, une maison d'édition locale, chroniqueur à la plume acérée mais bienveillante et qui a publié quelques romans dont Le Soleil du Fleuve ou Des hommes libres.
La Guyane est une petite communauté qui s'agrandit trop vite, de 100OOO h il y a 25 ans à 200 OOO aujourd'hui, tout cela reste restreint. La plupart des livres publiés sont des essais , ethno, socio, etc.

Je n'ai pas beaucoup aimé TERRE DES OUBLIS , trop long, par contre j'ai trouvé certains passages magnifiques, en particulier sa errance dans la jungle avec les fantôme de celui qu'il a tué. Je pense que l'histoire d'amour m'a ennuyé, je manque de romantisme !!!! Tous mes amis par contre l'ont beaucoup aimé et ce sont eux qui me l'avait recommandé.
