About mePrimarily I consider myself a Scientist, Irish, Catholic with an endless thirst for knowledge, and natural curiosity. As a child I didn't travel much in the world, but I could travel anywhere in time or space with books. I think you can tell SO much about a person by looking at their bookshelf. Interesting people read interesting books.

About my librarySome years I am intensely interested in one or two subjects, and some subjects I've stayed interested in for years. I have never tried to quantify the "Murphy Memorial Library" until now. Putting together the books I like at my fingertips has been a wonderful lifelong hobby.

When you get around to reading any of my books, I would be very pleased to get your opinions. In the meanwhile I would like to know some of your favorite recipes from all those cookbooks. No pressure, reply if you get a chance. Peace and happiness!
I really like your collection of cook books but what I found most interesting is your Gaeilge tag. Wonder if you speak the language from childhood or just decided to learn it on your own. I agree that one can learn much about a person from their choice of books. I used to teach out of the Nebergall chem book back in the 70's and was very pleased to see you have a copy! It was my favorite and we would spend 6 weeks on qualitative analysis.
Hey Einstein, we are watching you.
