About meI have a joint politics/classics degree and a masters in philosophy. I love books, reading and poetry. My favorite authors are Primo Levi and Dostoyevsky. I'm the proud mother of a wonderful little boy and am wondering what on earth I'm going to get a job as.

Thanks for posting!
Hey

I have finally done it and started a post on Poetry Fool. Please add a post to it otherwise I will feel like Billy No Mates!
That is another really clever poem in a similar ilk to those in the Worlds Wife don't you think?

I really, really like Correspondents,

When you come on Thursday, bring me a letter. We have
the language of stuffed birds, teacups. We don’t have
The language of bodies.....

I also like Telephoning Home and what do you think of Warming Her Pearls? -me -oh --my!!
My Book Group read The Worlds Wife one month last year. It was the first time we'd read a poetry collection rather than a novel. Everyone was really impressed by it. It really is a clever book.
My personal favourite of hers is the collection 'Selling Manhattan' that contains some of my favourite poems.
Don't worry, the first five years are the worst! Seriously it does get a lot easier each month they get older (and don't let anyone tell you differently).

You have a great collection of poetry books, it's interesting to see you have a few Carol Ann Duffy and even a Wendy Cope in there. I am a huge Carol Ann Duffy fan.
Congratulations on your son, he is beautiful. I have a young son and he is a constant joy to me.
glad the books arrived - and hope success in matching books to reader isn't too big a lie. Really enjoying the things you've shared. Keep it up (I read fast & lots) - and lots more books to give away. best, scott
Your poetry posted on the Poetry Fool group is excellent. Thanks for sharing it.
