About meI am Blunt Rapture.
Happy not sappy. One foot on the ground and one foot up in the sky kicking God's ass. A gregarious sociopath perpetually unzipping bunnysuits of bullshit and freeing the secret of the source of the essence of everything.

No god, he, space god, but he seems like a good guy, from a cyber distance.
I see you've got two books entered as Drugs, and a few other categories and books that make me wonder if you might not be interested in reading my book: I Think, Therefore Who Am I? Subtitled: Memoir of a Psychedelic Year. A serious memoir that reads like a novel, with characters, dialogue, and all the rest, and at the same time captures that era.

Now that you're in LT, you're going to get shameless appeals like this. I apologize if you feel imposed upon. Still, I'm looking for good readers. My pal Ganeshaka says he'll buy a copy, someday, but who knows?
I think you're gonna have to get off the fence regarding the "best book ever written."

(I think the Twilight crowd would strenuously object to either of your choices.)
Nope, actually haven't even opened the Simmons book. My SO is a Kiss collector...
That Gormenghast castle is quite the joint, don't you think? I have an old copy of the Alaska Highway magazine, Milepost, with a foldout map that indicates a tunnel entrance from the woods at the rest area at Mile 241.4. It's like the Whittier tunnel but smaller. NO ONE believes me! Isn't it obvious with all the totem and mask carvings throughout the Pacific Northwest? Of course Gormenghast is close by. I even have a few scorched books of the Poet's works from the old Titus's library that I found one year at a Library book sale in Whitehorse. Don't tell anyone, but I once had a threesome with the twins. It was the year before their tree died. Those ladies knew their wood!

Just kidding of course. About the sisters. Glad to see another fan of Peake.

:D
