About meI'm one of the librarians who's using LibraryThing to catalog their personal collection. I've typically cataloged my books on my own, but LibraryThing makes it so much easier both to document and to catalog. I'm one of those people who has to have every book in its place. Maybe that's part of why I'm a librarian! :-)

Job-wise, I'm a reference librarian at Butler University. I work about 11 hours a week at the Reference Desk and spend the rest of the time building and maintaining the library website, handling most of the P.R. and exhibits for the library, and doing collection development for Reference and for the Foreign Languages and Cultures taught here.

Avocation-wise, I'm a handbell ringer/composer/arranger, am working on a Master's degree in Music Composition at Butler, and have begun selling my own compositions through my online publishing presence: Tinnio Ergo Sum Press.

Yes, I got The History of Beer in America in the 18-pack of beer that came in a metal bucket. The beers are just OK (for a bunch of ostensibly "historic" beers, they didn't taste that different from what you can get now), but the book is pretty good for something that came as a freebie in an 18-pack of beer.
Thank you,Sir. I'm new to the Barony, only a couple of meetings so far but made welcome! I am as yet un-personified, but studying anything available on the Viking Era, particularly shoes and garb at the moment. That is probably where I'll concentrate, but the whole 1000 year period is of interest.
