About meI am just starting to rate my books using the star system. For some reason I've been avoiding it (maybe I was afraid to hurt their feelings). Anyway, if you are interested this is how I'm doing it:
5 Stars - not only was this a terrific book but it lingered in my mind after I finished it for one reason or another. Keeper. Re-read.
4 Stars - a terrific book. Keeper. Re-read.
3 Stars - basically a good book. Keeper. Re-read when sick or lazy.
2 Stars - finished it but wasn't too impressed. Wouldn't re-read. Give away.
1 Star - so bad I couldn't even finish it. Give away and hope someone else will love it and give it a good home.
There probably won't be many 1 or 2 star books because I tend to get rid of them sooner or later.
About my library"The buying of more books than one can possibly read is the soul's way of aspiring towards infinity."

Godey's are pretty available right now; in looking at my library, most of my Godey's are Dover editions. You can get the Dover editions for a couple bucks on ebay or a used book site. Have you considered getting an original Godey's for yourself?
