About meAccidental English major, ex-law student, legal Girl Friday, and would-be writer.

About my libraryMy books. /All/ my books, and comic books, except for some that I haven't bothered to move from my parents' house. The majority of these are kept in alphabetical order on a series of eight differently sized bookshelves, although a lot of the school ones are in basement storage and the comics and manga could be damn near anywhere. A heavy slant towards fantasy and children's fiction with a good dose of science fiction, but I'm cautiously branching into mysteries and romance.

Every time I add a newly found P. G. Wodehouse book, I am a little happier inside, and my library is a bit of a better place.

Hello startredder -

I was just strolling through reviews and came across yours for The Arthurian Omen. I was another of the fortunate(?) ER members to receive the book. Although I hated it much less than you did, I have to give you 5 stars for your review. Absolutely hilarious and wicked and wonderful. I have to admit that even though I enjoyed the book (in a dead easy, don't have to think kind of way), I liked your review much, much better! Now I am thinking that I need to go back and edit my own review. Oh, you are a bad influence. LOL

Happy reading and please write more, more, more!

I just can't resist the comment function - my sister pointed this site out to me a few days ago and I must admit I'm using it more to find others who like the same books rather than to catalogue my pitiful collection. I wanted to say 'hi' to you because you have several "5 star" favourites of mine like The Masqueraders, The Talisman Ring, Howl's Moving Castle, The Changeover, The Blue Sword and The Sherwood Ring. And, of course, those 2 Bujold books.

I think Bujold is a brilliant writer, so yes your collection *is* wonderful! :-) Once I've finished my studies and have a job again, it's my ambition to get more of her stuff. I've borrowed as many Miles books from the library that I can, but I want to own them all for myself. I can't decide whether I like Caz or Miles more as a character.

The Sherwood Ring - oh yes, I love that book! Got it on a whim at some book sale many years ago and it's in pretty poor condition - but who cares when the good stuff is all inside. Dick, Barbara and, of course, Peaceable Sherwood are such wonderful and memorable characters. Gotta love the scene between Barbara and Peaceable during their Christmas lunch.

Anyway, I could fill up your whole comment section with enthusiastic chatter about my fave books, but I'll leave it here. :-)
Hello :-)

Just thought I'd give you a wave as I helplessly envy you your LMcMB collection. Compared to other people, I don't share that many books with you, but you sure have some favourites of mine. What great taste in books you have!
