Hello, Stefano - Just read your recent review of Pirsig's ZEN ..., a book I read many years ago when it was new. I confess that much of the philosophical stuff I didn't understand, but I did love the father-son and memoir part. My brother, a tech writer, used to work with Pirsig at 3M back in the 60s. Recently I read another similar book you might enjoy, REBUILDING THE INDIAN, by Fred Haefele, although I'd be the first to admit it's a much more accessible book than Pirsig's. But I loved the way Haefele writes. Wish he'd write something else now. Thanks for your review. - Tim
Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like it since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I'd be glad to e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

You asked me about what parts of Bridge of Birds get to me -- the two that come to mind that get me every single time are the story of Miser Shen and the part in the labyrinth when Li Kao and Number Ten Ox ask each other what they want to come back as before they leap out of the labyrinth.
So where was the destination of that latest move?
