"Optimism is a strategy for making a better future. Because unless you believe that the future can be better, it's unlikely you will step up and take responsibility for making it so. If you assume that there's no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, there are opportunities to change things, there is a chance you may contribute to making a better world. The choice is yours."

~ Noam Chomsky
Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

Hi Steph, I guess our reading list will cross paths in new media. I'm interested in how interactivity affects gatekeeping. Feel free to watch my catalogue. If you go on to a Master's you may find yourself reading some of the same theory.

In the meantime, I'll go in search of an used copy of dogdogs... :-)

Hi steph - thanks for pointing out the 'dogsdogs' fact! If you got it at Borders as well that would make it even more freaky!! Mooglemeg
Hi Steph, I'm starting a PhD in media studies this fall. Looks like you might be in the same area. Care to share what your dissert is about?
all best,
Paola
