About my libraryFor a while now my main reading interests have been Hard Sci-Fi. Very, very few sword and sorcerers or fantasy. Mystery (especially hard-boiled detective fiction), non-fiction science, history (esp. Roman Empire), politics, and religion, especially the history of Christianity and it's pagan precursors (Io, Saturnalia!).

My library took a serious hit about 6-7 years ago when a pipe burst under my kitchen sink and flooded the first floor and basement where we had just put our books in storage as we painted some rooms. I lost hundreds of books, especially my science fiction collection going back probably to high school. I look over some libraries here and say, "I used to have that".

I actually wrote a research paper about how Christianity masked paganism in order to stomp out the "old religion"
