About meI'm a college archivist in South Carolina, and I have a PhD in American history. I grew up in South Carolina, graduated from Wofford College with majors in history and government, and was the student newspaper editor. I went to graduate school at the University of Georgia, earning my MA in 1996 and writing about politics in Spartanburg. I then went to the University of South Carolina, where I studied all eras of American history. I wrote my dissertation on the politics of economic development in South Carolina in the years 1938-1962. I am trying to get it turned into a book. In 1999, I returned to my alma mater to serve as college and Methodist archivist. In 2008, I offered a course in southern politics, and I've taught that two more times. I've also co-taught South Carolina history.

About my libraryI have a lot of history, and some other odds and ends. It reflects my interests in the South, in politics, in local history, in the presidency, and in other stuff.
